Epilepsy Monitoring

We offer an annual check up to any patient suffering from epilepsy. It gives patients an opportunity to air any problems they may be having and enables us to arrange blood, urine and other checks as may be appropriate. Please make an appointment with a GP.

Health Care Assistant Clinic

The Health Care Assistant is trained in weight management, blood pressure, phlebotomy (taking blood), Flu/Pneumo/B12/Shingles injections, NHS health checks, ECG's and breath tests. If you would like to make an appointment with the Health Care Assistant, please contact the surgery.

Health Checks

Any patient can book for a routine check with the nurse if they feel that they would like one. Such a screen would include height / weight / blood pressure / urine examination, as well as other tests appropriate to specific individuals. All patients over 75 who do not already attend the surgery for an annual review are welcome to book a health check with our health care assistant.

Blood testing occurs as usual in the pathology department of the hospital Monday to Friday without an appointment.

However we do have pre-booked phlebotomy appointments with our HCA’s during surgery hours . Please ring the surgery to make an appointment for this.
